Eighteen years ago, I opened the doors of Melbourne Natural Medicine Clinic with a simple belief: that people deserve more than a quick fix. They deserve real answers, time to be heard, and a team of practitioners working together rather than in isolation. That belief is still exactly what drives MNMC today. Along the way, I've been a finalist for ATMS Practitioner of the Year, presented to fellow practitioners across the industry, written for several health and wellness magazines, and formulated my own product ranges — Intrametica, and an in-house herbal range for the MNMC team.

Why I built a clinic instead of a single practice

When I trained as a naturopath, I kept running into the same problem. Patients would see me, then need to separately track down an acupuncturist, a chiropractor, a nutritionist, a counsellor — piecing together their own care with no one connecting the dots. I didn't think that was good enough.

So I built the clinic I wished existed: a multi-modality home where incredible practitioners work under one roof, sharing notes and referring freely between each other. We offer face-to-face consultations and treatments, as well as Telehealth for clients who can't get to us in person. I believe integrative medicine — treating the whole person, not just the symptom in front of you — is simply the best way to get someone well and keep them that way. Eighteen years and a growing team of practitioners later, that's still the heart of how MNMC works.

Intrametica: formulating beauty from within

Running a busy clinical practice, I spent years recommending skin and ageing support to patients and kept hitting the same wall: most ingestible beauty products on the market were single-ingredient, under-dosed, and built for marketing rather than physiology. So I formulated my own range and called it Intrametica.

I didn't want another "hero ingredient" powder — I wanted something built the way I treat patients, as a system. Every Intrametica formula is clinical-strength and multi-ingredient, designed around the pathways that actually drive how skin looks and feels: Purify Body Cleanse resets gut and liver function, Collagen Ultimate+ repairs and protects skin structure with marine collagen peptides and antioxidant botanicals, and Toned Protein Boost supports metabolism — individually powerful, stronger together.

Years on the advisory boards of MediHerb and Metagenics shaped that rigour. I'm no longer on either board, but I still bring the same scrutiny — quality, purity, real clinical dosing — to every Intrametica formula and every product we choose to stock at MNMC. Toned Protein Boost won Best Protein at the 2018 Byrdie Beauty Awards, and the range is now made in Australia, practitioner-formulated, and stocked in leading dermal and natural medicine clinics across the country.

A life lived close to the land

Outside the clinic, you'll usually find me with dirt on my hands. As a trained herbalist, I grow many of my own medicinal herbs organically, alongside my own fruit and vegetables, keep chickens, and tend my own beehives — there's nothing quite like honey you've harvested yourself. It's not just a hobby; it's an extension of the same philosophy I bring to clinical practice — that health is built on real, whole, unprocessed things grown the way nature intended, and that staying connected to where your food and remedies come from matters. Between consults and Intrametica, I make time for Pilates, the beach and the forest, because practising what I preach is non-negotiable for me.

Eighteen years in and I still love it — sitting with someone, working through what's really going on, and finding the path that gets them feeling like themselves again. That's the work. Everything else — the clinic, the team, the products we stock, Intrametica — exists to support more of it.
